1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember information about your visit, such as your login state and preferences. Similar technologies like localStorage and session tokens may also be used to achieve the same purpose securely.

2. Cookies We Use

These are essential for the platform to function. They cannot be disabled as they provide core operational capabilities.

Legal Notice: We do NOT use any marketing or advertising cookies. No ad networks or retargeting pixels are installed on Dwelphin. Your usage data is never sold.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some of our sub-processors may set their own cookies or use similar technologies to provide their infrastructural services:

  • Supabase: May set session cookies for database authentication.
  • Vercel: May set performance and routing cookies to ensure high availability.

We strictly enforce that these providers cannot use your data for advertising. We do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixels.

4. Cookie Retention Periods

  • Session cookies: Deleted automatically when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies: Expire between 24 hours and 180 days depending on the specific type.
  • Authentication tokens: Valid for your active session and renewed securely on each login.

5. How to Manage Cookies

You have full control over your cookie preferences:

  • Cookie preference centre: Use the cookie banner on your first visit, or click "Cookie Settings" in the footer at any time to adjust.
  • Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies universally. Note that blocking essential cookies will break your ability to log in.
